Challenges that International students face in English Language Learning 

 

Students will be introduced to common barriers and inhibitors to learning a language. They will see how cultural and instructional differences limit success. Students will be shown strategies to limit these negative influences and how to take active steps to improve their own abilities.

By the end of this learning session, participants will be able to:

1. Students recognize inhibitors to language growth
2. Learn strategies to overcome the inhibitors.
3. Take action and steps to improve their abilities

Biography

I have a degree in Political Science for the the University of Windsor. I have a degree in International Business from St. Claire College and a CELTA Certification. I have worked for 10 years as an English instructor in South Korea, and I am currently working as a Lecturer in Malaysia for the LEP program offered by New INTI College.
