for Excellence in Teaching and Learning
The David A. Wilson Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning offers two annual grants of $50,000 for faculty-led research on the topics of teaching and learning. Since the award's inception, more than 400 professors from 25 Laureate institutions have submitted research proposals for twelve awards totaling $600,000.

Global James McGuire Business Plan Competition
The Global James McGuire Business Plan Competition aims to encourage and foster the entrepreneurial spirit of students attending institutions that are part of the Laureate International Universities network. There are two categories: one is for undergraduate students and the second is for working adult, graduate or undergraduate students who have recently completed their program of study. The winning team from each of the two categories receives a low-interest loan of US $50,000 for the company proposed in its business plan. The four other finalist teams will receive a $5,000 cash award to be distributed evenly among team members.
